Connect’s Junior Social Group is open to families in the St.Helens area, whose children have diverse needs which makes socialising difficult, e.g. Autistic Spectrum Disorder. Parent/Carers stay with their children to support them. There is no cost for the activities which are designed together with children. These can include board games, arts & crafts, outdoor activities. The group is supported by Connect’s Toy and Leisure Library with loans to children.
The group runs on alternate Wednesdays 6.00 pm– 8.00pm starting on 4 August 2021.

The Connect youth group (formally known as Youth Asperger’s Group) is a group for children and young people aged 11 – 25.
The group is run by Karen Byrne. We organise activities, games and trips with the aim of strengthening social communication skills in an informal setting. We ask parents to stay whilst the group is running to ease anxiety of the young people who attend. The group is free to join and attend each session but all new members need to complete a membership form.
